When the announcement came that Mardi Gras
2021 was being cancelled, our hearts were heavy.
This editorial embodies our heartbreak and is our
tribute to not only the cancelled Carnival season,
but also all the other weddings and events that
have been cancelled, postponed or downsized
due to the pandemic. We chose to photograph
the editorial on location in the warehouse of
Firefly Ambiance, a local decor rental company;
we wanted to showcase all the celebratory
settings that have been packed away while also
offering a bit of hope that beauty can be found
anywhere we choose to look and create it.

Allie is wearing a fitted deep V neckline gown lined with rhinestones
and feathers on the front and back from Pearl’s Place. Add the perfect
finishing touch with Badgley Mischka’s Kiara embellished peep-toe pump,
also available at Pearl’s Place. (RIGHT) Sheer ivory opera gloves,
rhinestone chandelier drop earrings and Mrs. acrylic clutch complete her look.
