The Marigny Opera House, located in
the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood
of New Orleans, dates back to
the mid-1800s and was originally
known as Holy Trinity Catholic
Church. The church was closed by
the Archdiocese of New Orleans in
1997 and thebuilding was reopened
as a “Church of the Arts” in 2011.
Marigny Opera House now serves
as a community meeting place and
hosts charitable and philanthropic
meetings, workshops and seminars for
public and private audiences as well as
weddings and other private events.
